Tonight I will experience again the joy of being a grandparent.My six year old granddaughter Erica will visit from Iowa for Labor Day weekend.The joy that she will bring already makes me smile.Being a grandparent is one of life’s great roles.You can spoil the grandchildren,offer them forbidden food treats,act silly with them and when you are totally worn out physically return them to the care of their parents.Also their totally unfiltered views on every issue provide us with wisdom and insight that has not yet been shaped by prescribed societal expectations.The next three days will be fun, and more rewarding than words can describe.
