Alter the pattern

Everyday I follow the patterns of prior days often without a great deal of awareness. I shave in the same way beginning in the same spot ,and follow a host of daily rituals without giving most a second thought. The same could be said of behavioral patterns that have grown and become solidified through the years. Nothing wrong with this fact but it often prevents alternative choices. Altering consciously a pattern of behavior offers alternatives in which we may find new purpose and meaning. On the other side of altering the tried and the comfortable there is always something new to be learned and experienced. I love the expression that”Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
